Established in 1905, the McNeill-McManus Group of companies comprises McNeill-McManus Glass Ltd and associate company, Glas-Seal (NI) Ltd.
McNeill-McManus Glass - Contracts Division - is an accredited installer of Pilkington PlanarTM structural glazing and manufactures and installs aluminium and stainless steel shopfronts, entrance systems, firescreens and doors, (including automatic doors), with contracts being undertaken throughout Ireland and the UK.
McNeill-McManus Glass is a glass merchant and manufacturer of toughened glass, double glazed units and associated products to other glazing contractors, builders, etc throughout Northern Ireland and parts of Eire.
The company specialises in manufacture of curved glass, specialist laminated products e.g. polycarbonate glass composites, decorative glass, laminated safety glass, toughened glass, spandrel panels and mirrors. It also carries out glass processing such as polishing, bevelling, drilling, acid embossing, sandblasting, and safety backing.
Glas-Seal (NI) Ltd, based at Ballynahinch, manufactures double glazed units and laminated safety/bullet resistant glass. It was the first company in Ireland to obtain the British Standard Kite Mark and BS 5750 (ISO 9002) for sealed double glazing units.
Today the McNeill-McManus Group operates from three sites in Northern Ireland:-
- A 60,000 sq ft facility at Mallusk, Belfast which houses the operations of Glass as well as the Group administration.
- A 15,000 sq ft facility at Altnagelvin Industrial Estate, L'Derry which mirrors the McNeill-McManus Glass, Belfast operations. (The manufacture of sealed double glazed units commenced at this site, in January 1998)
- Glas-Seal's 35,000 sq ft facility at Ballynahinch
